Tate's Baptism

Today Tate, my great-nephew, was baptized at The River Church with his family in attendance. What a glorious day. I remember when I was baptized I didn't tell anyone that I was going to do it, not even my mother or father. At that time no else in my family went to church except for my Grandmother but I don't remember her being there that day. But my friend's mother was there and helped me and I was so thankful. I remember thinking should I feel different? When I knew there was a distinct difference was when I noticed that I didn't hate my little sister and that I had stopped fighting with her. I even liked her. After Tate's baptism we all went out to eat. I hope he talks to his parents about how he is feeling. He was so sweet today and happy.

Hoping this will be one of my blessings. My two college friends since '79 has inspired me to give this a try. So blame them.

God, Family and Friends---How they will be blessings, I'm sure will be interesting future stories.

Good Sense of Humor---Always a blessing. I get to use humor as a part of my job. I'm great at laughing at myself before others do.
